Business Overview
As a Graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music with a BMus(Hons), Lucy has a wealth of experience both as a performer and as a teacher. Lucy studied under Linda Merrick, Chris Swann and Antonio Salguero at RNCM and developed particular interest in the contemporary clarinet. In 2011 Lucy demonstrated the first ever FSC approved clarinet on 'BBC Look Now' and championed the ethical and sustainable production of African Blackwood Instruments. As part of this Lucy performed at the 'Sound and Fair' gala concert in Cambridge playing alongisde Nicholas Daniel and Kathryn Stott. As a teacher, Lucy has taught wider opportunities classes, ran a Flute choir, Music Theory class and taught small groups and individually. Lucy also has experience in working with children and adults with complex special needs having gained experience working at the Seashell Trust, Cheadle. Past employers include Bury Music Service, Cheshire West and Chester Music Service and Loreto College, Manchester. Lucy has built up her client base over the last 7 years and now delivers one on one tuition to all ages and abilities both from her own home and traveling to pupils' residences across Manchester and Cheshire.
